Since The month of january 23rd 2002 I’m an Assistant Professor Astrophysics in the Pennsylvania Condition College in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

This is a field that I’m strongly passionate about and spent most of my adolescent life wondering about the great and wide universe.

Before I had been a Postdoc in the Institute of Astronomy at Cambridge, United kingdom. From 10/99 until 6/2001 I had been postdoctoral fellow in the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. I alos was previously a visting Research Scholar in the Laboratory for Computational Astrophysics (LCA) in the National Center for Supercomputing Programs in the College of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign along with a graduate student in the Max Planck Institut fuer Astrophysik from The month of january 1997 through June 1999.

Though my learnings I have been lucky enough to share my knowledge and understand with the world through a variety of mediums.

I authored my master thesis (“Molecular Hydrogen and the initial light within our world”) with Mike Norman in the LCA and my PhD thesis in Munich with Simon Whitened.

My current Research interests are:

  • The Very First Structures in the World: Formation, Evolution, Observables and Feedback on subsequent Structure Formation
  • Reionization and Radiative Transfer in Cosmology
  • Quasar Absorption Line Systems
  • Magnetohydrodynamics in the early World
  • The development of molecular clouds, halo globular groupings and supermassive black holes.
  • Chemistry from the early World
  • The Very First Stars
  • Planets

Wherever I go I’m always reading and exploring new ideas, whether thats on my computer or iPhone 4 I’m always on the go! Well that’s it, now you know everything there is to know about me!
